Biography
Antho Illustration is an illustrator-graphic designer passionate about Japan and its legends. His artistic universe elegantly mixes tradition and modernity, drawing inspiration from Japanese landscapes, Yokai culture and fantastic stories. Through his works, he explores the idea of an "almost journey", illustrating imaginary memories filled with poetry, emotion and sometimes humor.
His creations, such as the "Souvenir Ronin" series, immerse us in a dreamlike journey through Japan, where a mysterious stranger dressed in straw accompanies the narrator in unexpected encounters: a fire dragon formed of glows on a lake, an immense sea eel playing around a wreck, or a ghostly apparition in the heart of a snowstorm. Each illustration tells a story and invites the viewer to live an adventure where mystery and beauty mingle.
Antho combines remarkable technical mastery with a unique narrative sensibility, creating works where character design and Japanese aesthetics meet. His love for details and ability to capture the essence of Japanese folklore make him a must-see artist for lovers of Japanese art and culture.
In addition to his illustrations, Antho offers derivative products from his work and other artisanal creations inspired by Japan in his shop "Konbini". His works do not just decorate: they transport the viewer to an imaginary Japan, full of magic and nostalgia.
