In 4burn , Brutal Kortex composes a fascinating, almost hypnotic work, where four stylized faces seem to reflect each other in a kaleidoscopic symmetry. Each of these faces is distorted and opened to reveal exposed brains, a detail that introduces a reflection on mental overload and exhaustion of the mind. The pastel colors, mainly pink, blue and yellow, create a contrast with the harshness of the theme, slightly softening the visual brutality of the exposed brains. The choice of hues and thick contours offers an effect of fusion and fluidity, as if the faces were melting and losing themselves in each other.
4burn explores the notion of mental overheating, symbolized by this almost hallucinatory repetition of faces and brains in fusion. This disturbing symmetry pushes us to contemplate psychic destabilization, emotional exhaustion or even the dissolution of identity in the face of modern pressures.
